Just4kics (kids in community sports) is a charitable organization that helps families facing financial burdens
by placing their children in a sport of their choice. Just4kics will pay for the registration fee, equipment and
transportation fees if needed. Just4kics is covering children between the ages of 5 to 18 across Canada.
Recently they have had a request from an RCMP officer in Clyde River, Nunavut for used hockey equipment.
The burden facing young children in his community is that there is nothing to do to keep the children active
and out of trouble. Officer Beifuss has started running a camp for these kids, however he has very little
equipment to outfit the amount of kids that show up. The children that do show up first get the equipment
and there are many kids that need to return home as there is just not enough to go around.
Just4kics has offered to supply as much used equipment as they can for him and his community. They are
asking for your support in achieving this. They would be looking at a " Equipment Drive" at the Carlton Place Arena on
Saturday April 14th. They will be outside the arena between the hours of 9:00am to Noon and would appreciate
any used equipment dropped off at that time.
