Reporting Suspensions

                                   2011-2012
 

The ODMHA code of discipline, Item 9.0 c) of the ODMHA handbook, defines the Coach’s role pertaining to suspensions. The following explains this procedure in District 4.

 

 

House League Teams Must

  • Report any code of discipline offence that results in the player/official  being removed from the game and confirm the discipline (if any ) to be assessed (number of games to be served).
  • You must also report any code of discipline offence to the APMHA Director of Discipline and Appeals:

Harassment of Official – District 4 Discipline (voted on Nov 10th 2009 - District 4 Meeting)

 

For Harassment of Official (M20; GM31) where there is obscene, profane or abusive language or gestures to any person as indicated in the referee’s report in the GIR, the following to be applied in addition the discipline outlined in the ODMHA Code of Discipline.

First Offense

ü   Report to association President to address.

ü   President reports back that this has been discussed with the individual (player/coach).  Individual verbally agrees to control his/her language during the game.

Second Offence

ü   Provide a District 4 warning letter to the association President for use when discussing with the player.

ü   Individual (player/coach) signs letter along with the association representative to acknowledge receipt and agreement to show respect to others in the game at all times.

Third Offence

ü   Player receives a ONE meaningful game suspension; and

ü   Individual (player/coach) appears before a District 4 Hearing panel explain his/her actions and for the panel to determine further discipline based on the incident history.
