The 22nd annual Penalty Free Sweepstakes program will commence December 6, 2008 and run through January 31, 2009. There will be a total of 68 teams in Ontario who will be drawn as prizewinners. The prizes in this year’s Sweepstakes are valued at $75,000.00.

A total of 19 sponsorship partners are involved in this year’s program including KARBON, a new sponsor to this year’s program.  The program will be delivered without the support of a Title sponsor.

Penalty Free MVP Award

As an added incentive and to further promote the Sweepstakes we will once again sponsor the MVP Award, which will be held in conjunction with the Sweepstakes prize draw.  Every team has the opportunity to nominate one player for this award.  Ten winners will be selected in a random draw and each will receive a McDonald’s Great Taste Card, a family pass to the Hockey Hall of Fame and a special trophy.  Ballots will be available through the HDCO website.


2009 MEMENTO

In recognition of each team’s penalty free play, every player will receive a commemorative silicone wristband.
