World Junior Gold Medalist visits the MTK Minor Atom Team

The MTK Minor Atom team had a surprise visitor at practice last week. Curtis Lazar, member of the Ottawa Senators NHL team and Captain of our recent gold medal winning Canadian World Jr. team, came to Pakenham to meet and skate with our kids. On behalf of Bauer Hockey, Curtis presented each player with the much anticipated  new Vapor 1x hockey stick.    He spoke with the players and encouraged them to always finish strong and be Difference Makers on the ice.  It was a chance of a lifetime for our team to meet, hang out and skate with a young NHL player who is such an impressive and gracious young man.  The evening was memorable for the players as well as their parents. Curtis was enthusiastic and generous with his time, he had a smile for everyone and this will certainly fuel the dreams of our little stars for a long time to come.
